Gérard Vacher offers you a silver tray composed of 2 or 3 artists from across the Atlantic of which the renowned rhythms will plunge you, without delay, into the legendary moments. Why ? Because they are well the living legends that Maxwell Café offers you such as: the Blind Boys of Alabama, the gospel singers; Big Joe Duskin, the boogie-woogie man; Screamin'Jay Hawkins and Ike Turner, the protorockers; Eddie Kirkland, the lead guitar player for John Lee Hooker - Otis Redding; Syl Johnson and Curtis Knight, the soul singers or Koko Taylor, the queen of Chicago blues whom you can appreciate better here at Maxwell Café, seated in front row seats, rather than in a festival seated faraway. There are also rising stars, the glories of the future, whom you will be proud to discover before anyone at Maxwell's.
